Of course we have had regular maintenance performed regularly, just like we did on the previous mentioned vehicles. As of today, everything on the Mercedes is working properly. Unfortunately we can not say the same about the BMW or Toyota. I would strongly recommend the Mercedes.

We have purchased an E class Mercedes and are confident it will be as great as our still C Bought a year old pre owned. In the 2 years of ownership I have only had 1 repair needed. And I drive more than 12k per year. Former car was a couple of LI'S and they were in repair shop at least once a month for various small and pricey repairs. All were under warranty but I knew to offload them before warranty ran out. Build quality of the S is exceptional and without compromise.

It is extremely comfortable and quite brisk. Would highly recommend it to anyone. Get buying tips about Car Brands delivered to your inbox. I had never driven a car with this feature so what I thought was normal for the ECO feature turns out it is very annoying everytime it is on, which comes on automatically when the car is started. I am currently driving a loaner from the dealership, the same model and when I come to a stop the car shuts down, but you do not feel the vibration. One cannot even tell that it has shut down and restarted. It feels nothing like mine, but the dealership is saying that it is normal.

I am sure there are others out there that are experience the same problem. If you have a for-profit service, contact us. Ask your Mercedes-Benz dealer. Most Common Solutions: not sure 1 reports Get free help with your lemon! Find something helpful?

Yesterday after I put a full tank of gas at Chevron in my Nissan Quest the car started to jerk around and shake. The RPM goes up and down by its self without my pushing on the gas.

The only way I can get the jerking of the car to tone down to a little bit is by putting the car in neutral when I am stopped. What do you think is wrong? I had a similar issue on the wifes Altima. It would kinda "surge" and the RPM would "bounce" when I came to a stop. Putting it in neutral or slightly pressing the gas to keep it around RPMs would make it quit.

Turned out it was the intake gasket was split on the back side of the 4 cylinder. My Accord started doing the rpm thing, it will rev up and down at idle but it stops doing it if you give it a bit of gas or simply put it in gear. Someone said it might be a clogged egr valve there was a recall for that but I stupidly never had mine replaced or some other sensor.

I've got to take it somewhere and have it diagnosed. First thing. If not, get a bottle of GumOut. Run with that in it, even if it acts up. Also, take it to a service station and they should run a diagnostics scan for free.

Then you will be able to track it down to mechanical or electrical. I had to replace my EGR valve on my 94 Cutlass, wasn't causing quite this issue, but when they do go, boy do they ever. Just start with the simple issue. Before I end.

I had the same problem before, it turned out to be the metal piece in my ignition coil was loose. Not saying that's your problem, but it is a potential. Took it to my mechanic, they don't know wtf is going on. Tomorrow they are going to run some tests and see what's wrong. I kept having to take my car back over and over againbecause they couldn't find anything wrong.

Finally and old mechanic got hold of it, checked it, and fixed the problem for me. Had a 93 blazer with the same problem, RPM would jerk around and it seemed like it was gonna stall, then reved up again, pushing on the gas just a tiny bit kept it from doing that, turns out that the manifold was cracked and the catalytic converter was clogged up, that's what cracked the manifoldcheck it out incase the same happens to you.
